Hand Made Wine

Don't have a wine press and all that fancy stuff?  How about a little hand-squeasing!  Here are some steps I took to make a micro-brew.  After making the big wine, there were still some grapes on the arbor.   Here is what I did:

Just mashed up the grapes using my hands into a two gallon glass jar (Oct 17tjh).  I then placed it in the basement with a very loose lid to ferment for a day (Oct 18th). Twice a day I would mix it.  Then I let it separate and siphoned off some of the wine to fill one bottle.
Beautiful!  I then allowed the rest to ferment another day and separate.  Siphoned that into two more bottles.

Here is everything down in the basement.  I was using a plastic container as a 'lid.'
Oct 19th.

Here is a close up.  Fermentation is still going strong in the bottle. VERY loose cap.

All fermenting still a few days later.

Still not quite clear, but I flipped the tops over (Oct 28th).  Clarified (Nov 11).
